Dr Leah Jones
First 5
Hello! I’m Leah and I work as a salaried GP in Malvern, Worcestershire.
I trained at Leicester University, and after qualifying I completed my foundation training, followed by GP training in Worcestershire.
Since 2021, I have worked as a salaried GP in Malvern, which has been a great place to settle in as a “First 5” GP. Whilst our chosen career certainly has it’s challenges, I have always enjoyed being involved in groups and committees which aim to make positive changes. I am fortunate to be the “First 5” rep on the Local Medical Committee (LMC), and have valued being part of the local BMA division – both fantastic ways of networking and learning more about our profession.
I live with my husband, daughter, dog, cat and sheep (!) in South Worcestershire. I enjoy sport, going out for brunch and walking in the Malvern Hills.

I attend ICB Contract Monitoring Board meetings as an LMC observer.
I am a GP partner at St Georges Surgery in Gloucestershire. I have 5 grown up children.
In my spare time, I enjoy Lindy-Hop, reading crime novels, swimming and attending rock music festivals in Wanda, my aged motorhome.

My main focus is on integrated care, working with local communities, improving representation of General Practice as a provider and quality improvement within Primary Care.

Dr Hannah Woodman
Trainee Rep - North Worcestershire
Bewdley Medical Centre
Hello! I’m Hannah, a first-year GP trainee currently working in the paediatrics department at Worcester Royal Hospital.
I graduated from the University of Birmingham and completed my foundation training with Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. After my foundation years, I pursued a clinical teaching fellowship, which deepened my passion for medical education—a passion I continue to nurture as I progress through my training.
Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors and am passionate about endurance sports. My partner and I love exploring new trails and challenging ourselves in nature. I'm also thrilled to be representing Great Britain in Duathlon in the summer of 2025.
